Bridge to and End: Short Stories about Today’s Changing Workplace
We work because we have to, not necessarily because we want to. But given the alternative of hanging around and not accomplishing much (not to mention becoming a burden on someone else), it’s not really all that bad.

So we work…for our families, those who depend on us, until it is time to retire. But is that all? Is work merely a paycheck or a road to self-discovery and fulfillment?

These are the questions I try to answer through my fiction. From bagel day on Friday's to dealing with the monotony of crowded freeways, I try to search for the right words to express the work experience.

I invite you to read my fictional workplace stories on the pages enclosed.

Also, check out my Office Takes page, where you’ll find a variety of items about the history of the workplace in America, some typical work situations and the tools we’ve used in past offices.  Joe Cappello words@wordsearchers.org

It includes an office building that floats and a farmer raising crops in the basement. Bizarre…I know.
